SKHINCAPS @ "EU Science around the clock!"

SKHINCAPS was one of the nine EU research projects invited to take part in the EU Open Day 2017 activities that took place last 6 May at the European Commission headquarters at the Berlaymont building, in Brussels, Belgium.

With the Open Doors Day initiative, the European Commisision enables citizens to discover European institutions, participate in debates, gather information, and this year the event also allowed for EU-funded research and innovation projects to showcase innovations that will impact the lives of citizens and the real economy in the near future.

SKHINCAPS project was presented at the "EU Science all around the clock!" booth, and demonstrated to an audience of more than 10 000 visitors (mainly families) the functionalities and applications of 'smart' innovative textiles and cosmetics currently being developed by the SKHINCAPS consortium.

The booth was also visited by Commissioner Carlos Moedas, Head of the Department for Research, Innovation and Science of the European Commission, who had the chance to be introduced to the project, expected results and impacts.
